Why was this done?
So I couldn't help but notice that TheVille servers (at least the dustbowl one) have disabled the new medic weapons. I'm partly confused as to why this was done, but frankly, I'm a little annoyed too. The idea of having the new medic content is so that we can use it, and for those of us who worked our respective heinies off to get them (especially the ubersaw, that was hell to get) only to have them taken away or blocked is more than a little irritating.
For all the inevitable arguments about it unbalancing the game, I doubt very much that valve didn't see that possibility. I mean, sure, they kinda pooped the bed on the console command cheat, but the whole of TF2 is so well balanced they'd really have to think twice about anything that might unbalance it. For instance, the new needlegun doesn't crit anymore, and steals small amounts of health. Nothing too earth-shaking there. The critzcrieg is really neat, I find, because of all the new strategic uses it can be put to. And that too, has a glaring drawback, in that you die. A lot.
But I'm going to take a wild guess and say that the reason the unlockables were removed is because of the ubersaw, which apparently unbalances the game, or because people are running around double-medic sawing and building a continuous uber. Apparently this is way too powerful.
I disagree. I myself tried it out a couple times, for fun, and while it can be done, and is hilarious when done properly, it's really not that effective. It's no more effective than a regular uber, and is incredibly easy for a reasonably intelligent team to break up. Just break the uber with stickies/rockets, or just simply run away. Also, the ubersaw's slower swing time makes it difficult to hit anything expect an immobile heavy.
Sorry for writing a novel, but i was more than a little ticked to find everything i worked for the past week count for absolutely nothing on my favourite servers. Anyone else care to share some thoughts? Or could some one at least please say why they were disabled?

They were working on 7 yesterday morning, then the server suddenly crashed and they didn't then. The crash must of messed something up.

Re: Why was this done?
The new medic weapons were not working on #8 Warpath last night no matter how many times I rejoined or what I did. Worked every where else though. Thought I was having a problem with my game. Now I know it wasn't just me!
