1 more FTW!

Dustbowl is getting kinda old and boring...

Last nite on TV1, it went dust, 2fort, then dust again... people were like wtf?

Few hours ago on same server, Granary and well [both cp and ctf] were quite enjoyable I'd say for both teams.

AS for stacking... If most tld's are on, I'd try and go on opposite teams, and get me ass handed to me.. hehe

Thanks for ur time folks

Please do mention some names
With the direction this thread went on, right now I won't mention any names, lest they look bad. My initial intention was to point out that most players in top 10 are Dustbowl players, and that this map is probably good for point racking, especially for medics IMO. Reason for that I guess is it's a linear map and thus, you will rarely get killed from behind as a medic except by a talented spy. This gives you a lot more chances to uber than in other maps. Let's see if RiceKrispies could get as much uber on Toy Fort for example, I doubt it.

Now I completed my post about the skill of some of these players on Dustbowl, because really, without any doubt they are great strategic and skilled players, and I didn't want to give the impression I thought they were at the top only because of the map. All I'm saying is it probably helps.

Now, on stacked teams.... this discussion always comes up after a while, I remember on DoD we had it too. Thing is, it is inevitable that some random team will steamroll another random team a few times a day. I can't say I noticed stacking too much, at least on TV4, but you have to understand that if some random team happens to destroy another one by chance on Dustbowl, it takes a very long time to endure. On 2fort, the map ends after 3 caps and that's it, change of map, new teams.

that server needs to disable team selection/changing, and shuffle them every other round.
k, put urself in this situation....

It switches you EVERY TIME on dustbowl.. and EVERY TIME on offence...

Now how would you feel?

Hence why they do not have that
That was why I suggested every other round. That means that everyone gets a run on offense and defense before the teams shuffle.

A few points I'd like to make.

- Why is it that people feel the only way to play with friends is to play on the same team ?? My friends list has grown quite a bit over the past month just from regulars adding me to their list. ( Thanks by the way ) but I do have two real life friends ( Power House and Davidicus ) that I play with and I enjoy fighting against them just as much as teaming up with them.

- I am a stat junkie and even I agree that balanced teams should always take precedence over one's stats.

- Just my personal opinion, but doesn't it get boring playing the same map over and over and over again ? You'll notice that I have played on 22 different maps. Warpath being the most played and that is because my friend Power House is always on that friggen map. :x I usually have to drag him into another Ville server to get some time on other maps.

Some of you will remember the |Lab Rats| crew playing on TV servers a few years back. We were all friends working at the same laboratory, and there is nothing I enjoyed more than playing against them so I could boast about kills or captures the following morning :)

Team stacking is something that has been going on for awhile. I always use the auto select when I join a server. It can be just as fun playing against a friend as it is playing on the same team. I like the idea of shuffling the teams up every few rounds. Its nice to mix things up a bit. One idea I just had would be to make it so you can only use the autoselect when you join a server. Though this would proably piss off some people too. I'm not sure if this can be done but it could be worth a try if it is possible.

yesterday me and this solly totally wiped their team and won the game about 20 times ... each 1 took like 3 min :P
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 to pull a triger. 8)

I agree - I enjoy playing both WITH friends and AGAINST them. Most of the time, you'll see me playing against my real life friends like Toadster. However, I need a medic as a heavy, so I will tend to choose a team with a solid medic.
