i was playing TF2 this morning then i went off to do some stuff and when i came back i couldnt start TF2 ...whenever i tryed to it would make steam not respond and i have to do the whole end now thingy to close it
ive tryed restarting steam,and my com...any1 got ideas on how to fix it?

I had that happen once. I just deleted everything in the Steam folder except steam.exe and the steamapps folder and had Steam re-download it. That worked for me (though I had to re-add my favorites and stuff).

well i acctually just finished reinstalling it after deleting all of steam and it worked so now im happy

did you download all the content again from Valve Mr. Dog or did you just back it up?
My crazy thoughts would be to do a separate install of steam in something like c:\test and then let it create all the rest of the stuff below that. Only install DOD:S, dont copy anything over from your existing install and see if that makes any difference what so ever.
If it keeps borking I would start looking at windows even though I have no idea why DODS would bork and TF2 and everything else works just fine....

Sometimes after I quit tf2 it disapears from the mygames menu on steam. simplefix: quit and restart steam.
