Server reset?

Howdy gang!

I spoke with Stevo, and we're thinking about doing a reset of the server this coming week some time. We can roll it over to a randomly generated map (way bigger, and with a lot less trouble due to running out of loot spots), and it frequently encourages additional people to join when they feel like they can get in at the beginning and not be behind the curve.

Anybody here have any thoughts on this?

I just asked four of our regs on the server, and got "Yes, Yes, YES, and HECK YES" as responses, so I think we're getting support there as well.

Ok, after talking with Stevo and various folks, we're going to aim to do the server reset on Thursday, Oct 11th, at around 5pm Pacific/8pm Eastern.

Settings will remain pretty much the same, except switching to a random gen map.

Sometimes it crashes or needs to restart, so that might be what happened.

Yeah, unfortunately with the game still being Alpha, it has some stability issues and occasionally drops itself without warning :-/ It's uncommon, but can happen, and occurs more with more people on. It should recover itself within a minute or two!

With the drop of the latest mini-patch, do we want to do a reset and bump up to larger map size? With these regular patch drops and all the bugs/exploits available in the initial one, the map is pretty picked-over and some players are totally tricked-out. I'm happy to keep playing this one, or to reset as people desire.

Yes, reset when you're ready. Larger map is good.
