As regards the original question, I'd be down for a night of shenanigans, Warpath or Prophunt or Dustbowl or whatever. Better get the dust of TF2... I think it's been 3 years since I opened that one!

I'd suggest that when this happens, we give lots of notice before the event (multiple weeks or more), since many people don't visit the forum that often. We need to give people the maximum chance to become aware that this is happening.

I think that is a very good idea, b&b. That plus the widespread need to reinstall the game would make last-second participation difficult. I think we'll get a reasonable turn-out with sufficient notice. There are still 103 members in the Steam Group for TheVille Seed Team, and over 1400 in our general TheVille steam group. An event announcement with a long lead notice on it (like a one week pop-up, not just an "event is starting" one) could spread the word.
