Re: Ocean Monument
Thanks - we're up to 6 missing sponges now. These are one of the most difficult blocks in the game to get - we can't be losing track of them!

Re: Ocean Monument
Ok, thanks for checking!
We started with 35, were at 33 last night, and it's down to 29 this morning. Not sure what's happening with them.

Re: Ocean Monument
Got on this morning started with 29, after an hour of drain and dry. Down to 28. Was not killed while loaded with sponges. So not sure what is going on.

Re: Ocean Monument
I was worried I was going to lose one when collecting the wet ones. Chances are it dropped to the bottom of the column and you missed picking it up. They really blend in with the gravel and can fall in a spot that makes them hard to see.<eVa>mlite wrote:Got on this morning started with 29, after an hour of drain and dry. Down to 28. Along those lines, I could have lost some in that fashion my first night helping and not realized it. I was super paranoid after the posts here when I got on the other day though.

Re: Ocean Monument
Next we have the building of the farm! We need to level out the bottom surface of the cube to Y 32. Let's disassemble the monument and store the blocks and lanterns on site first - then we can use them to make it look pretty cool in there a great looking floor in there. I'll do some patterning and such once we've got it mined out and flattened. When that's done, it'll be time to build the fishtank! I've got a design ready to build that can produce over 10k items per hour at full throttle, but that will be less work to make than deconstruction of what's there is!

Re: Ocean Monument
The entire cube needs to go down to Y32 or just the monument portion of the cube?

Re: Ocean Monument
The guardian farm is up and fully operational, and it is fast! Got enough stuff to make a full stack of sea lanterns in under 10 minutes, not to mention enough cooked fish to feed a small army and build the great wall of china from the left over prismarine shards. We've still got a fair amount of work to do to "pretty up" the pit, and I'm planning to add a staircase and such for easier access, but in the meantime, this thing is slaughtering guardians by the second. Big thanks to all the folks who helped make this thing! Mlite (credit for finding the monument first!), JD, Flyte, Flash, and anybody I missed, it's paying for itself quickly here!
Because the pit also has multiple slime chunks in it, it works as a slime farm for anybody needing that. I placed a small fenced area around the collection side of the farm, so you can AFK without being slimed to death. There is one collection chest on the opposite side, for the occasional squid ink that might end up in the system, but the main three chests are in the fenced area. Harvest away!

Re: Ocean Monument
This ocean monument turned guardian grinder is producing shards, crystals and fish at a crazy rate.
I have taken some of the goodies to spawn but there is more at the grinder if you need some. Also, were converting the shards and crystals to sea lanterns, prismarine and prismarine blocks so dont be shy.
