Batman Arkham Knight
I preordered the game after watching online reviews. I loved the past batman games... so I HAD to get this one.
DON't BUY IT!~!~!! It's poorly optimized. I have an AMD r9 with 3 gigs of RAM which should play games like this flawlessly. Needless to say... just panning around in batman's view was really choppy. Even some cut scenes were choppy. I edited the .INI file for better frame rates and such. It helped a bit but not enough to justify 60 bucks.
Now, the story and gameplay seem like great ideas.... just poor poor perfromance results from my perspective. So, I returned it on steam and bought it on the PS4. I will reply back to this thread after playing it on the PS4 where the game is actually optimized for specific hardware instead of this... steam system requirement recommendations which I surpass yet... poop.

Re: Batman Arkham Knight
I saw an article where they outsourced the PC port to another developer. They're supposed to be issuing a patch very soon to address the issue.

Yeah... and they did that with Mortal Combat X and look at those results. Just more bloated stuff to download with no results. I ain't taking those chances. Big game developers should not even let this happen in my opinion......Nanite wrote:I saw an article where they outsourced the PC port to another developer. Re: Batman Arkham Knight
Interesting, all PC sales for Batman Arkham Knight have been suspended for the time being. It looks like the sheer number of negative reviews and refunds have actually caused WB to do something, perhaps this bodes well for future game releases.

Re: Batman Arkham Knight
i heard the batmobile was the only bad part about the game, it was said it ruined the fluid gameplay and stealth parts and basically made batman a pure killer which in turn abolished much of the other stories behind the batman games.

Yeah, in the bat mobile, you blow everything up. Unless they claim the tanks are unmanned.... you are killing. You can play the original way by flying and grappling everywhere but there will be a lot of missions involving the bat mobile in it's battle mode.Perfect Villain wrote:i heard the batmobile was the only bad part about the game, it was said it ruined the fluid gameplay and stealth parts and basically made batman a pure killer which in turn abolished much of the other stories behind the batman games.
Re: Batman Arkham Knight
After three games of mostly the same combat, I think it's fine that the batmobile changes things up this way.

Re: Batman Arkham Knight
So... the game makes it known that the tanks are unmanned so Batman is not killing! So far the game is pretty fun. It's annoying when most missions NEED the damn bat mobile, though. Still the story is neat. I aint gonna ruin it with spoilers but lets just say the introduction of the joker was unexpected and is neat!

Re: Batman Arkham Knight
UPDATE: The story is good! BUT... unless you like playing battle tanks in the damn bat mobile all the time then this game is kinda... meeeh... I miss the old stalking batman. Lots of bat mobile in this one. You need it for abount 85% of the darn game. Also... compared to the previous batmans, there are few combat trials if you are into that. It really made my one buddy mad so he decided to just wait until the game goes on sale or used.

I am playing it on PC, runs great on my machine, but I played after the update came out.
I also have it on the PS4 (just arrived PS4 Batman console) - but I haven't even hooked it up yet.....first world problems....
