The only thing better than Electrodrome is Electrodrome in 8-bit:
"So what have you been up to, man? Haven't seen you in so long!"
"Ah, you know how it is. Doin' a lot of side projects, some consulting, maybe a little freelance... Those are words that people say when they haven't actually been doing anything, right?"

Re: Random Video Game Music
I checked this guy's channel. It seems he's been doing 8-bit remixes of a lot of stuff (mostly Marvel v Capcom 3 in the beginning). A lot of this stuff sounds awesome and is totally nostalgic. Have a listen:Supreveio wrote:The only thing better than Electrodrome is Electrodrome in 8-bit:

Re: Random Video Game Music
The Mario Kart 8 YouTube playlist I've been listening to now has several of the alternate versions of the dynamic tunes from the game added into it. They're SFX-free too, unlike a lot of YouTube rips.
Re: Random Video Game Music
I like this particular track from The Last of Us:
The soundtrack was composed by Gustavo Santaolalla, who won two Oscars for Best Original Score for Brokeback Mountain and Babel.
Edit: Don't read the comments if you don't want to potentially see spoilers.

Looks like I got a new favorite soundtrack; all of the following are from the official soundtrack of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!
"SpaceStation"
"Helio" (This one is my particular favorite.)
"Orbiter"
"Full State Feedback"

Re: Random Video Game Music
Okay, so I've gotten crazy into the Persona games recently (specifically Persona 3, 4 & Arena) and those games have some pretty awesome music.
There is a warning, however, these songs are catchier than the plague, so be careful.
Starting off with Persona 3
Burn My Dread (opening title theme)
Mass Destruction (normal battle theme)
Master of Tartarus (guardian boss fight)
Master of Shadow (full-moon boss fight)
Unavoidable Battle (persona user fight theme)
Deep Breath Deep Breath (boss dungeon)
Battle Hymn of the Soul (final boss)
Burn My Dread -Last Battle- (Nyx confrontation)
Onto Persona 4!
Shadow World (opening theme)
Reach out to the Truth (normal battle)
Time to Make History (normal battle in Persona 4: Golden)
I'll Face Myself (boss fight)
A New World Fool (the killer)
The Almighty (final boss) (you need to listen to this)
Finally, Persona 4 Arena
Reach Out to the Truth (The Sister-Complex Kingpin of Steel, Yu Narukami!)
The Hero From Junes (Captain Ressentiment, Yosuke Hanamura!)
Like a Dragon (The Carnivore Who's Discarded Womanhood, Chie Satonaka!)
Princess Amagi (The Unconquerable Snow Black, Yukiko Amagi!)
A Pure-Hearted Beast (The Bloodcurdling Beefcake Emperor, Kanji Tatsumi!)
Teddie Circus! (The Beast in Heat, Teddie!)
Seeker of Truth (The 2000-IQ Killjoy Detective, Naoto Shirogane!)
Missions For the Brilliant Executioner (The Imperious Queen of Executions, Mitsuru Kirijo!)
The Wandering Wolf (The Two-Fisted Protien Junkie, Akihiko Sanada!)
Heartful Cry (The Heartless Armed Angel, Aigis!)
Sprited Girl (Yasogami's Steel Council President, Labrys!)
Shadows of the Labarinth (The Raging Bull of Destruction, Shadow Labrys!)
There is a warning, however, these songs are catchier than the plague, so be careful.

[insert witty comment here]
Skies of Arcadia: Ancient Temple Dungeon
Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS: Multi-Man Smash (full)
Xenoblade Chronicles: Gaur Plains (this exact theme is in SSB4, it's just as awesome)
Pokemon 5th Gen: Dragonspiral Tower (people say they hear Chrono Trigger in this track; I didn't at first, but it does sound a lot like the Forest theme)
Pokemon OR/AS: Battle! Team Aqua/Magma (from the demo)
Mega Man Unlimited: Yo-Yo Man (hey, fan games have awesome music too!)
Kirby 64: Rock Star
Surgeon Simulator Anniversary Edition: The Tooth Hurts (Ambulance)
Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door: X-Naut Fortress
Skies of Arcadia: Ancient Temple Dungeon
