Craft The World

This game is Crack. I have never played minecraft, but I imagine this is similar, but with better graphics.

15 bucks on steam. Early release. The game is still a bit buggy and there are still only 2 main levels with a Sandbox option (my girlfriend tells me it is a more fun way to play), but I haven't beaten the 2nd level yet.

Mine for stuff, use the stuff you mine to craft things, you get dwarves to do your work (the Snow White kind, not "little people", there's stuff to kill. Pretty fun all around and at 50 hours played so far in a week, I found it was worth my entertainment dollar.

Expect some random crashes, as they are still working out some bugs and adding new content and fixing stuff. Game reloads quickly, so I wasn't super upset.

I am 150 hours into this game and still surprised that nobody on my friends list has picked it up.
Also, apparently after my research into what Minecraft actually looks like, this isn't similar at all, so disregard that part in my original post above.

3 Levels now and new patches pretty regularly. Updates to graphics and gameplay. Still worth the money in my opinion.

It seems to be a third-person miner while MC is a first-person miner. Otherwise similar though, right down to the portals. Instead of dwarves MC has villagers, but they're not so helpful. Thanks for the pointer to "Craft The World".

from the demo I watched of terraria, these graphics seemed better/cooler looking.

Also, I think its 50% off right now.
