New world.

Old map is archived here:

I tried to install Feed the Beast but the server wasn't having any of it.
So then I tried Voltz but it didn't like it either. Besides the ICBMs might have been a bad idea....
So we're back to the latest version of Tekkit which is actually not bad. Galacticraft and PowerSuits are in there!
Odd that FTB wasn't working. What modpack did you try? Ultimate, Minecrack, Direwolf20, or even Lite? I'd suggest the Mindcrack pack for the ville. I have a small server that's running the Lite version.

Ultimate.
Our server is a rental from GamerServers and they use McMyAdmin. FTB was non-cooperative.

So I added Guardian to the whitelist, but every time he tries to connect he gets booted and we can all see:
"[Server: Kicked GunnerGuardian from the game]"

Anybody got any thoughts? It isn't a whitelist issue because when he isn't on the whitelist he doesn't even get that far.

Double-check that you have the most recent Tekkit downloader/installer. I couldn't connect using the previous one - might be a version issue?

I've tried the following:
-Re-downloading the launcher from http://www.technicpack.net/download and trying to launch the game again

-Deleting the files and redownloading them to reset the game.

-Closing and opening the game

EDIT: -Ran as administrator

I'm not sure if it's a severside or clientside problem so can anyone give me some IP for a server with the current tekkit build so I can test if it's a problem on my end? It's difficult to find one running this specific mod just with google. Also I can briefly see the survival screen before getting booted out.

I don't have any non-Ville IPs, but another random question (that shouldn't make a difference, but who knows?)... are you on an administrator account, or running as administrator? Also, is your Java version up to date?

Saw you try to connect this morning - showed you joining the game, then leaving the game immediately.

Already tried "run as administrator" and I'm pretty sure Java is up to date (it's not bugging me to update like it always does).

EDIT: And I just tried restarting my computer but that didn't work either.

It's a shame because I'm messing around with the book travel system (I think it's from mystcraft) and I have a feeling it will be a lot of fun to try and create the perfect age.

Alright, not sure what one of you did but I'm in now! Oddly enough I didn't spawn at 0,0 and was quite away from spawn...

Now when I was playing around in creative mode while waiting to get into the server, I noticed you can create "pocket dimensions" in this which basically can become teleport hubs that work like the nether hub we have but don't require any travelling at all to use, you basically can create teleportation between any 2 points.

I suggest we create one between all of our bases and spawn to serve like the nether hub.

EDIT: I've already collected the materials required to make a hub and I sort of have a hub working already only I'm the only person connected to it....

0,0 isn't inherently spawn; on this server I believe it's something around -250, 250. Did you spawn there, or were you in another location?

I did spawn there... I find that kinda odd that's it so far from 0,0 .

I might place a door there to the pocket dimension I've created if people want to connect to it. I also wish to call it the "subspace highway" because I'm a scott pilgrim fan....

For info on how they work, you can watch this:

I stepped into a door that Keyes had. Needless to say I eventually ended up back in the main world at I think 19000 9000

Ya that's an "unstable door".... they teleport you randomly.....

I also have a portal hub up and running which is connected to spawn and my place. Feel free to connect to it if you want to get the subspace highway working.
