whoa, me thinks this is a tad harsh. Im all for server security, but when I joined/discovered the ville, it was through playing minecraft. So while a random person just asking to join is a little sketch, I would say posting in a "who you are" thread and a few good referrals (like from some people who can say they meet those criteria) should be alright. Then have the referrals vouch if need be, but at that point there is some accountability and peer pressure to not be a bad apple.

That would sorta suck for people like me. Just because I do not have 100 posts worth of things to say on here doesn't mean that I am some greifer that shouldn't be allowed onto the server.

I would think that a vouch of a trusted Villun should be enough. Of course I don't think that everyone who just signs up is a griefer, but if we did it this way we would never have to worry about them.

I think most of us aren't going to vouch for a jerk anyhow. But, just in case someone is a griefer and we didn't know it, just kick the griefer off and move on. Everyone can make a mistake and it's not the end of the world. We have jerks on the rest of servers and we deal with them as the need arises and they prove themselves to be jerks.

I agree, I think that this would work out nicely, except people who don't have any friends from TheVille would just be SOL. That is fine if that is the idea though.
