I've never really been a fan of the franchise but when I read my beta email I saw ... "Hi-Rez".

It's funny you say that because there are two camps.

1. People like you who never got into Tribes but are trying it because of HiRez

2. People who are diehard Tribes fans who are very skeptical BECAUSE it's HiRez

how about people who've never heard of either one and are enjoying the game anyway?

Played a little ctf last night with biker and did some TDM today solo. So far I like it, very pleasing to get those airshots and long distance shots with the spinfusor.

and OMG TT.... that is sooooo awesome.. we need to play on the same team sometime and see if we can get some good shots

Well I played for a while to see what the fuss was about. It's very easy to get the hang of, but difficult to perfect. Especially when in a close fight, while trying to maintain speed as well... It's pretty tough. I like it, and I think I'll keep playing for a bit and see if it gets better.
