Yes. That's the entire point.Zork Nemesis wrote:Does that simulator allow you to select your moveset/stats? I'd like to recreate my 4th gen team with to see what it could do.

Re: Pokemon
Man, don't get me started on this EV training. Didn't learn about it till after I was done with Diamond and it just ruined my everything.
I will start learning more about it once I get Black/White. For now I shall just name all my Pokemon something funny.

Re: Pokemon
I miss my SoulSilver team. I never really got into Black, but I gave it a shot. SoulSilver, though, damn some good times.
I don't remember levels, but most of my team was high 60-early 70.
Umbreon
Hypno
Gyarados
Skarmory
Rhyperior
Rapidash
Umbreon was my main tank, bred from an egg and loaded with HP Up, Def, and Sp. Def items from birth. Massive HP pool and even super effective attacks take several hits to bring her down, and she excels at debuffing. Hypno, admittedly not the best high-level Pokemon, happens to be my favorite, so deal with it. He is a Sp. Atk. monster though. Gyarados I raised from a Magikarp and she's a beefy beast. Her Atk. is through the roof. Skarmory is my token flyer, but with some good speed and defense. Rhyperior is the most recent addition, but sturdy as all hell. He replaced the Dragonair that wasn't leveling the way I'd hoped, and I haven't looked back. Only my Gyarados rivals him in sheer power, but is much less sturdy. Finally, Rapidash. My beloved glass cannon. Faster than light, but dies to a stiff breeze. Have to hit hard and fast with him and either go for the kill or run.
I've not played in months, but man was I proud of that team. They were to the point that I grinded the Elite Four with them for funsies. Good times.

Re: Pokemon
I got my 4th gen team imported into that program, but since I don't know the EVs and since they're not level 100, I have no idea how to adjust my stats accordingly. The only one I can accuractly employ is Crobat, as she's the only 100 i've ever raised.
Nevermind, I found the level slider.
Ok, I got my 4th gen team set up to nearly exactly as what I have in-game, a couple of moves are a little different, but that's more or less because I don't need to go into battle with HM moves. My main team consists of the following:
Weavile - lv87
Porygon-Z - lv83
Crobat (Shiny) - lv100
Gallade - lv78
Flareon - lv78
Roserade - lv78
On the bench:
Leafeon - lv71
Infernape - lv74
Feralligator - lv75
Empoleon - lv74
Pikachu - lv58 (the Volt Tackle user is still in training, but I have another one at 90 before I figured out how to get it to learn Volt Tackle)
I've got my lv40 Jirachi in the box as well, the special edition one from Summoer 2010 with Serene Grace and Draco Meteor, probably won't use him though.

This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.
In my experience, common sense isn't too common.
Re: Pokemon
Just for reference, people don't really match the levels of their pokemon in-game, instead they basically create their dream team and fight with it there, that's the idea behind the simulator.Zork Nemesis wrote:I got my 4th gen team imported into that program, but since I don't know the EVs and since they're not level 100, I have no idea how to adjust my stats accordingly. I know, but like I said, the idea behind the simulator is to play the meta-game as opposed to spending hundreds of hours EV training and running through the elite 4 multiple times in order to hit max level.THE Flying chihuahua wrote:Its Pokemon trainer not Pokemon generator.Fano wrote:we should all just play with the simulator instead, much less hassle and you can pick any pokemon you want with your preferred moveset.
I'd much rather play with my dream team through simulated battles than spend countless hours trying to breed the same pokemon on my DS until he has the right nature and moves and all that jazz (keep in mind I HAVE done this though, it's just incredibly tedious and you can't try out new pokemon as efficiently as in the simulator).
For the purpose of fighting other villuns, I think it would be more interesting in the simulator and people can swap pokemon on demand.
Either way, I have a team of level 100s trained up on my DS as well, so it doesn't make a difference to me

I'd help you with that. Excavalier is awesome and so is Accelgor.Tungsten wrote:Trading, eh?
Does anyone have an Escavalier...or the ingredients to make one? I really want an Escavalier...Though, I guess I would have to get a Shelmet first.
Also: I'm not the only one who nicknames his pokemon right? Cause if I am I'm gonna go punch a wall.

The only ones I name are the Unowns, and only cause there's 28 of the damn bastards. I have them all though in my Platinum and Soul Silver

Re: Pokemon
I try to think of good nicknames...but they sometimes end up being nearby objects, random words on my mind and gibberish.
I do occasionally come up with some good nicknames, like my Snivy, Imperatile...or my Durant from my last play through, Tungstant...though, he wasn't good against fire.
