Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
Just cancelled my account.
Me and a select few thousand players get corrupt files from the launcher and we have to go through hoops to get the patch files from a 3rd party. Support has left us mostly in the dark even though this has been an issue since beta. You can see hundreds of threads regarding the issue on patch days in swtor support forums, sometimes getting to 100 pages. Myself and I'm sure many other players have done all they asked and there is still no solution.
So since I can't play, I decided to stop paying them. What I would need are the 10gig patch files. So far I have only found one person hosting the files and since he is in England I was receiving 100kb/s download speed. This would take me almost 200 hours to download the patch.
Keep in mind of the actual quality of the game guys. The game is no longer in it's launching phase, it has been out for over a month now.
EDIT: And should I mention they left a HUGE bug in Ilum, people are hitting rank 60 valor in minutes:

dont have a retail copy to get the files off disc?
thats not a bug on ilum, thats just the player imbalance of that specific server. open pvp will always be like that. they just need to implement better spawn protection.

Too bad with all trouble with the patching process. I was starting to get the itch to play a MMO again and was thinking of trying this one. I might just wait until they have all their ducks in a row and see if people are still playing. I'm done with WoW unless it's free at this point, I just don't enjoy rat race for gear and guild drama.

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
Well, finally found a very painstaking way to get the game to patch. However, I'm still not going to renew because of all the bugs. They released a content patch yesterday which added a bunch more bugs.
There is also no 'gold dump' in the game, so everyone is freaking rich off their ass. And lastly my trade skills are completely worthless.

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic
the last patch was just to fix the spawn camping on ilum. i have yet to see any new bugs.
and you can change you crew skills very easily, they are kinda useless at lower lvls though
