Oh it's a daedric quest, too. I'm gonna try this out...Bronze Fox wrote:I do not believe so; I don't remember cannibalism that well from Fallout 3.NerevarineKing wrote:You can be a cannibal? Is it anything like Fallout 3's cannibalism.
To be able to feed on a corpse you have to have the Ring of Namira on which you get from a quest, and just having the ring itself equipped increases your Stamina by 50. After you feed on a corpse it increases your Health by 50 and increases your health regain rate as well.
I do not know exactly when the extra health disappears and there's not a lot detail online but it lasts long enough to be useful.
Another perk is that the guards get a new line.

Re: Skyrim
I finally made the jump from Orcish Armor to Daedra Armor. My smithing was at 78 or so and I farmed the rest of the way. I think most people do it way sooner than me; I'm level 30 and I just now did it. I didn't feel weak with the Orcish Armor but I just had it forever. I wish there was something better than Ebony Armor between Orc and Daedra.
The fact Ebony and Daedra both take the rarest ore in the game seems like a bad move to me, and add on the fact there's only a difference of 10 smithing in skill at that point... I don't know why they even bothered with Ebony Armor in the first place.
The Daedra weapons are amazing though. I went from a 40 damage weapon to a 61 damage weapon.

Re: Skyrim
Some people probably straight play the game without checking wikipedia, so they wouldn't know who or where to get daedric hearts from. So ebony armor, being the third strongest in the game, is a viable option for some of those players.Bronze Fox wrote:I finally made the jump from Orcish Armor to Daedra Armor. Dragonplate is probably the easiest to craft with the ready availability of dragons always attacking. Which makes less sense is that daedric armor is the best Heavy Armor set, and is acquired at 90 smithing, compared to the 100 dragonplate, however if you climb up the left tree of smithing you can get to dragonplate faster than daedric. (I went up the left side, you can not go right to daedric without going up the right fully.)

Re: Skyrim
I can confirm this I didn't find my first daedra heart for a very very long time. I wore ebony armor for quite a long time.

Re: Skyrim
My smithing is only 70 or something. I just found a daedra heart for the first time a couple days ago. Daedric armor looks pretty cool but finding all the daedra hearts is going to quite a challenge considering there's hardly any daedra in the game. In Oblivion, you could just walk into an oblivion gate and come out with tons of daedra hearts (They were only used for alchemy, though).

Re: Skyrim
Hm... I had seven by the time my smithing got up to 90, and I even did the side-quest for giving one to the blacksmith Orc in Markarth so eight I suppose.
I never looked up where to find them; I only read that they were needed for the armor.
If I remember correctly I got four from getting Dagon's dagger, and another three or four for Azura's Star.
I suppose I'm just lucky I found those two Daedra quests.

Re: Skyrim
I have heard that with a certain quest reward active magic spell dwemer armor nearly gives you as much protection as daedric. I haven't done the quest yet so I don't really know anything else about it.

I already started the quests and compared to the College quests, they're so much better.
I've yet to do the Companions or Thieves Guild yet, but I'm really enjoying this quests.
