Re: Terraria partners
I used spells a lot and with a full set of cobalt.. er, jungle amour, and at least one ring of starpower, it didnt take very much time at all to get back to full mana.
nerf is nerf, and it is hoooorribible. Meta, you is jsut insane, and like change for changes sake.

Re: Terraria partners
I do like change and/or to shake things up once in a while. I guess that's why I'm less prone to whining ... unlike some Canadians around here
Back on topic though. The game goes pretty slow until you start breaking the orbs at the bottom of the corruption pit. Then it picks up pretty quickly.

I never said it was glorious. I implied I preferred it and that I think it is better this way. You, hating change, are complaining about the way it is now (whiningIxtab wrote:Er, I wasn't being whiny, I was just stating that the nerf is kind of a pain, not the glorious addition to the game that you seem to think it is.

We are just going to have to agree to disagree here. I like the change, you dont. End of sidetracking. Post things pertinent to helping Biker

This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.
In my experience, common sense isn't too common.

I started a new character with some friends on a new server, pretty fun. First time I've played since rocket boot nerf.

Re: Terraria partners
There's a lot of nice things about 1.1, and there's a number of crappy bits too. I don't like the random stats you get when you craft most equippables. While it's cool to get a sword with increased damage or size, i've wasted lots of gold making "cheap" or "annoying" weapons that were worse than the silver sword I had on. Was partially afraid the Space Gun I built was going to suck, but fortunetly nothing bad happened to it.
1.1 supports circuitry, and if I had gotten good with redstone in Minecraft, I would try some things here. You can buy wires and tools to place wires from an NPC you rescue in the dungeon. The dungeon comes with functional light switches and dart traps, and I know the underground caves also have dart traps and Indiana Jones-style boulder traps.
Seems like world generation is a bit more diverse. In a large world generated for 1.1, I found three corrupted regions and three deserts.
Armor set bonuses, copper, silver and gold seem to enhance your defense further if you wear every piece. Demon armor seems to increase your swing speed, but I love the new Meteor armor bonus: Space Gun costs 0 mana to fire.
Don't leave the ruler accessory on for too long, the grid is very hard on the eyes.

Re: Terraria partners
After your first goblin invasion there's a tinkerer npc you can find on the map that lets you reforge items to get a new set of random stats for gold.
I started a new character online with some friends when it hit, and my current complaint is that once you beat the wall of flesh, corruption and hallow starts to spread all over the map. The new bosses are a nice challenge though.

I'm not sure but I'd imagine so. The Corruption isn't taking over the surface, hallowed is. Corruption is spreading underground like crazy.
