Not sure how I feel about these new decks. The zombie deck is fun, but its super slow and expensive to get going. The March to War Red/White feels a little underpowered too.

Maybe I'll warm up to 'em though.

As one of the most powerful beings in the Multiverse, you’re always seeking new magic to expand your mastery and defeat your foes. This Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 deck pack includes two brand-new decks for Campaign and Multiplayer play. “Dark Heavens” is a white and black deck that combines the supernatural powers of Angels and Demons to punish the opposition. “Forest’s Fury” is a green deck that uses the towering might of Treefolk and the awesome power of nature to stomp on any who stand in your way!

First impressions is the angel deck looks slow, no really good synergy between the colors either. Could be wrong but I'm just not digging it, the unlocks look pretty good though. The description sure made it sound awesome though :P

Forest Fury on the other hand looks pretty decent even without the unlocks. Very interesting creature deck, think it would do well against most decks overall. This deck makes this pack definitely worth picking up.

The Black & White deck will crush non-flying decks.
My memory is a little vague but the point seems to be to overwhelm your opponent with weak flyers, and use a couple kill cards to get rid of your opponent's only flying defense.

Being a huge fan of Strength of Stone myself I have to admit it's weak against decks like this. I actually barely managed to pull off a win with SoS against it with my brother. It was a pretty epic win. The only monster I got out the whole game was Stuffy Doll. He was slowly kill me and he placed an enchant that kept Stuffy Doll from attacking or blocking. Well, through a Spire Barrage, a Spitting Earth, and a Fault Line all on Stuffy I won.

Oh, and as for the Treefolk deck, beat it a couple times with SoS, was not impressed.

Bump.

Third deck pack come out. Both decks seem to be numbers instead of power like the previous two DLC. I don't know if it's just me but it's getting kind of boring. All these decks are about low power cards overwhelming your opponent. I wish they would mix it up a little with a deck that had powerful monsters like the original decks.

The tri-deck looks pretty good. Big multicolor decks always seem very interesting; I'll have to play against it more to see how good it actually is though. I think it's going to have a hard time beating Strength of Stone because SoS has both forestwalkers and mountainwalkers.

The knight deck seems... very annoying. I seems to be composed of more recent cards as the ratio of land cost to card's effect seems to be completely different than all the other decks. The crux of the whole deck seems to be the 2/2 that makes all other knights indestructible. I can't think of its name right now but it's one of the multiplayer avatars.

Sometimes I too hate the versatility of the Plainswalker decks, it's all about the creatures. There are no true control decks, mill decks, land destruction decks or burn decks. I'm not convinced they could have removed enough cards to prevent these types of decks. They were common back in my day anyway.(Revised...3rd Edition to Mirage)

I don't know about the tri color deck, seems like with out an abundance of artifacts you could be to easily mana screwed but I have yet to play it.

Yes, the knight deck is patricularly annoying because of it's speed and very powerful to boot with the multiple examplars.

Mateo schooled me in that well :?

I need to pick them up and start playing them. Seems like everyone I play against is sporting the knight deck right now. It does seem to be a very good deck.

I've played the tricolor deck enough to unlock the cards and edit it down to 60 and it is my new favorite deck. The knight deck is incredibly overpowered and not really all that fun to play. It doesn't really require a lot of strategy or creative instants/etc. Like bronze noted, its more about praying for the 2/2 card that buffs the other knights.

The trideck though...its very interesting.

Overall though the expansion is definitely worth getting.

One deck that is considered OP and one that is considered super weak? :D
