I dont think I could handle a line right down the center of my field of view... maybe I just dont understand how that could work. Half your cross hairs on the left monitor and half on the right??? I gotta be missin something here lol
If Im gonna dump money into an HD monitor I want the full 2560x1600, which is what my card and fav game (DoDS) is meant to run at to showcase its full potential.
Ill let you guys know what I decide.
Pretty sure Im going with this one, or something similar
Samsung Syncmaster 305T 30" 2560x1600, 1000:1 contrast, 6ms response widescreen monitor =)...
Its only $1,400.00 - excuse me while I choke

But, its the best 30" I can find
OBTW just to clear up any response time confusion:
Response time is the time it takes a pixel to go from one color to an other. Usually Response time is measured going from completely white to completely black. Which is easy for the monitor to accomplish. Its like your gas pedal, pedal to the metal or nothing. Its easy for the monitor to calculate for those colors. THEN theres a measurement for colors in between. This is called Grey to Grey or the GTG response time. This (for us gamers with all the intricate shading) is far more important than black/white response times. Thats why you'll see different response times reported for the same monitor.
So... if youre looking for a monitor make sure your GTG response time is around 6ms (8ms or lower)
