Re: Rigges is in the Hospital
Well it seems as if my leg is getting a lot better.
It seems to be better than it has in a long time
Been complaining about swelling and cramps in that leg all this time for more than a year and I get told limit your salt OH you need magnesium now all the swelling is going away and so is the redness and the pain I have had for a while.

don't downplay the importance of a walk with the wife too. any exercise is good and will help with the bloodflow

Re: Rigges is in the Hospital
Sorry I am so late to this thread, I am just relieved that you are recovering. I hope you get MUCH better. I echo a previous comment by saying, walking will increase your circulation and improve your chances of recovery. Just don't over do it. I am glad that you seem to be bouncing back.

Re: Rigges is in the Hospital
OH I thought I had said this but I looked and did not see it any were
So Just so you all know the day I went to the Hospital I felt fair I was walking My leg hurt some what and it was red & swollen from the ankle to the Knee.
You all got that right here is what I was told had I waited another 24 Hours to go in to the Urgent Care I could have either lost my leg or Lost my life strange at how close you can come to death.
Most though deal with that every day by Driving a Car.
Well I better go take a walk.

Re: Rigges is in the Hospital
Hmmm another thing I thought I posted and did not...
On July 7th I went to Ann Arbor VA Hospital here is what I found out.
OK hmm the leg Umm the Rt leg seems to be OK from the testing they did but the Left Leg is screwed.
Apparently there are little valves in the veins that open and close so blood only flows 1 way the valves in the Rt leg work just fine. Though the valves in the Left leg do not. They let blood flow backwards therefore causing my leg to swell. Then it can get infected and so on and do forth.
The infection seems to be either gone or under control for now.
But I will have to wear a Jobst Knee high sock 12 - 16 Hours a day forever and elevate my leg as much as possible and when I sleep.
Great right
then if I do not do that the leg can get infected again I can end up with Ulcers on my ankle that do not heal then I could loose my foot then leg etc.
So I will be wearing the Jobst Socks and elevating my leg
Fun Fun Fun then the repo man takes the T-bird away.
