I'm right behind you man. It's infuriating.

Unfortunately as much as this upsets so many loyal and expectant customers (the ones that are truly looking forward to a release), chances are the vast majority of them will still buy the sub-par product.

Then again, there is only so much disappointment a person can take.

The lack of pre download is a bit annoying but at least I'm getting 1.5 MBS and the download was up at my normal 7 am wake up time. I am taking the day off to play the game and will post an opionion after I get a bit of play in.

So far the game has been very fun. The game play is solid and the dumbing down of the controls for consoles has made many of your options more accessible. Mid combat super jumping and sprinting is now available while using armor and stealth and require nothing more than holding a button and single button melee makes for easy stealth take down and quick reactive butt strokes to the face. The graphics do seem a little simpler but i do not have it set to the highest level (updateing my drivers now so I can get crossfire support) It is still the best looking FPS i have played since crysis warhead. Over all so far I am at least not disappointed but its to early to give a strong opinion one way or the other.

Like: control changes
Dislike: graphics option simplification
Like: lots of fun weapons
Dislike: no suppressor on non-carbine SCAR, suppressor on the SHOTGUN?!?

finished the campaign 11 hours game play.
good
aliens were less annoying to fight
weapon selection was massively improved and even had a few surprises ( x-43 mike and K volt)
controls made suit powers more available and suit powers felt more superhuman
best looking shooter I have played since crysis warhead (maybe it didnt push the envelope but it still looked good)
fire selector, weapon accessorys, and open battle fields ( some of the best parts from the first game)
Bad
the grenade button doesn't throw the grenade it just equips it
characters were not very interesting and your protagonist was nobody

Overall I would give it about a 7.5. If you stand this game up on its own it is a very fun game. While it is sad that we have lost the amazing graphics and physics of the first game I can understand that catering to the small percentage of high end PC users instead of going for the whole market is not a good business model.
