GoldenEye: Source (mod)
GoldenEye: Source is a mod that tries to capture the fun and feel of the original GoldenEye 64. I started playing it today and I'm quite impressed. Anyone that was a fan of the old game should check it out.

Pro-tip: At first I couldn't figure out why there wasn't any crosshairs. Just like the original there's an "aim" button that puts crosshairs on your screen but make you walk slow. It's defaulted as left shift but I changed it to right mouse.

Once you get it installed hit me up with an invite if you want to play. There's a few different modes but I've mainly been playing deathmatch so far. I should be online and available all night.

I never played the original. Would this be relevant to my interests?

It's fun regardless of whether or not you have any nostalgia for the original. I say give it a try! Here's a gameplay trailer from when it was in beta(it came out of beta a few days ago):

I've been waiting for this to be finished for quite a while now. I first heard of it well over a year ago.\

I was really looking forward to this back in alpha, it wasn't very good back then and I'd heard it wasn't goiog well so had stopped watching it. Is it really any good yet?

I tried it again a few months ago and it had come a long way. It was looking pretty good back then.

Alright, so you remember how you only ever had at most 4 people playing Goldeneye on N64? Well, do try and imagine it with more than that. Its a freaking nightmare, and it is amazing fun!

Yeah it can definitely get quite chaotic at times with so many people. I've played it for about five hours over the last few days and so far I'm having a blast.MrBlah wrote:Alright, so you remember how you only ever had at most 4 people playing Goldeneye on N64? I played this with a few friends a bit over a year ago, was a complete blast. 16 player License To Kill with pistols was amazing fun.
