Bought it on steam. The good story telling is back previously seen in the original modern warfare. Tends to jump the shark a bit. The weapons are take and leave some are portrayed more accurately than ever seen some less. I like all the new accessorized weapons you can find. I am severely disappointed that the KS-23 special carbine makes its first appearance in any game i have played and they got it all wrong.

Ever since I've started working, I've realized how much $60 really is; I don't think I will ever buy a game at full price again.
As well, my gold membership has ended so any games that focus on online play are not worth my money.
Only reason I didn't get Reach is because of that fact, but let's not start talking about the Halo series.

So yeah, I caved in and bought it...

however, the game is unplayable. The lag is so bad I can't do anything. In singleplayer even the main screen is jittery. The movie is a slideshow and can't understand the audio. In multiplayer it is fine until I get into a game and the lag is too much to do anything.

From reading the internet I am one of many. It seems the game is not using gpu and is only using cpu. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Ok I found a G11 and an HK11 (it lists it as a 21 but we know better) in the same mission..........OK that is worth the 60 dollars especially since they got the G11 as correct as they could in this game. Of course they screwed up the ks23 and m4 specter. Also how the hell do the Russian soldiers have aksu74s? The ak74 wasn't even developed until the 70s and this game is in 68. Hell the date is in the name of the gun 1974 was the date it was introduced

I'm pretty sure the Ak-47 was developed during WWII, and according to Wikipedia it's been in-service since 1949.

You are about a few weapon inconsistency? I care about the game being unplayable. I knew I shouldn't of bought this and I did.

Its just the way I am. Mine works but the memory leaks are killing my performance. This lag crud needs to be patched.

And yes I was referring to the AKSU-74 witch some of the soviet soldiers have. The 47 was of course introduced in 1947 and shouldn't of been in the other 2 games but belongs in this one. Of course at least 40% of the weapons in this game are not period appropriate they are just gun pron.

Ah, I feel like an idiot. I misread your post, and just figured out why it's called the Ak-47

Old soviet weapons are easy. they are almost always named after there designers IE Makarov, Simonov , Dragunov, Kalashnikov. In the olden days the numbers generally referred to dates although this wasn't Russia exclusive IE the 1911 colt, the 1903 springfield, the thompson 1921...........................
OMG I am such a nerd :P
