SC2 Tourney

Yes, this shindig is tonight at 8pm Central tonight!! I hope everyone is READY TA RAWL OUT!!

Something dawned on me over the weekend. FFA's do not have to be limited to a max of 4 players per game. The maps support 8 player FFA's I believe. Point being is if we have 10 showing up then we can have two matches of 5.

I'll log on around 7pm Central/Ville time just to start a base of operations. I'll keep checking this thread throughout the day as well.

OK so out of the 10 or so people who expressed interest a mere 5 showed up. Biker invited some other friends and we ended up having a single 8 player FFA. It was pretty zaney too I must admit just back and forth all over the place.

Mass Void Rays won. It made me want to cry.

Anyway, I intend on having making a SC2 tourney work. By tourney I mean we keep shuffling the line up so we all play a variety of people. However it is nice to know that we can fallback on just one huge FFA if we can't get enough participants.

And Agro...if you read this...give us your info so we can add you to our friends list!

I was so depressed. It was a very odd map and nats were stationed between spawns. So I figure'd I just go straight to the rare mins in the mid. Worked great for awhile. However, my cracklings and mutas were nothing towards the other armies. Then while I attacked the guy to my south I got attack my the guy to my north. His base then got attacked as another guy attacked my base just merely missing the retreat of the guy to my north.

We'll really have to set it up better next time, maybe a custom map so we can spectate after we lose.

I remember right when the game started I scouted the bases on either side of me and thought to myself “damn, figures they someone would spawn on both sides” not remembering that every spawn location is used in a 8FFA.

Yea an 8 player FFA gets hairy fast just because there is no where else to go after your nat expo w/o wiping out another player. I’d much rather several games of 4 players each and keep rotating the line up to face new people. You can spectate after losing a custom game? I thought we did a custom game with our party size.

I also kinda want to play some of you in 1v1’s *cough* Biker *cough*. I will be ready for battle this weekend.

Oh and is Victus a villun with an account on here? I owe him some forum points.

Well we did a custom melee game. We'll prob need to create it completely custom, maybe even make a custom map for it so we can just disable victory status.
