Re: Star-Craft 2 Guest Passes
I just have bad memories from WC3 online play where half the time my hero would die on the first encounter with the other player. With it too far behind in level, it was totally ineffective in later encounters. Some Bnet opponents seemed able to get their hero to 6 with 5 minutes.
I wonder if the userbase for SC2 is a little more diverse, so I'm not in the worst 10%.

Well there aren't heroes, so you are good there. But there are a LOT of cheap tactics that people like to use in majority of the games.prometheus wrote:I just have bad memories from WC3 online play where half the time my hero would die on the first encounter with the other player. So be prepared for those.

The thing is, ok micro is pretty easy to get. The hard thing is having OK micro and combining it with ok macro.

I think I got both of those downunsmart wrote:The thing is, ok micro is pretty easy to get. The hard thing is having OK micro and combining it with ok macro.

But I do believe it is quite hard for a newer player because of the way most people are oriented to go one step at a time. Macro is basically thinking ahead, in case the enemy destroys your main force, or they are slowly killing them you can bring in your reinforcements.
Re: Star-Craft 2 Guest Passes
Actually by macro I meant base management. That is while you are in a battle microing against the enemy army, you also need to be looking in your base to expand/make units/tech/upgrade and so on.

If I do decide to purchase it after using the guest pass, do I have to re-download it?
