Yes! I knew the croc one would make it! May have to whip up a sniper token and go for it.

I just hope the Degreaser will have an airblast. If it doesn't, it'll probably be as worthless as the Backburner.

Glad to see Shay's submission (the spy one) got the kudos it deserved. She really put a lot of effort into it and is wonderful to see it recognized.
Of course, the other submissions are good too. That crocodile hat and razorback combo for the sniper look fantastic and silly at the same time.

They're all awesome, I wonder what effects we'll see from them. Love all the new hats!

Sweet the Saharan Spy made it. I require that fez. If I do get the fez... so many Mustapha quotes. I wonder what the knife will do; it's sorta hard to envision another mechanic for the knife that doesn't make it suck or overpowered.

Delighted to see the Saharan Spy win - that's some serious hard work, and an excellent look and concept.

Re: The Polycount Contest - Your Favorites
So, Valve said they'll be designing their own gameplay attributes to attach to the winning items. Looking at the winners, I've started coming up with a few ideas and predictions as to what they might end up being.
The Black Box (Tank Buster pack rocket launcher) - Due to the size and obvious weight of this thing, I reckon it's gonna pack additional firepower and a larger blast radius, at the cost of slower movement speed, and perhaps a smaller clip/much longer reload time.
The Sydney Sleeper (Croc pack Sniper rifle) - This thing seems to shoot darts. Perhaps this thing will do reduced damage, but leave victims with either a reduced movement speed for several seconds, or maybe a poison variant of the bleed effect. Or maybe both. Or maybe neither.
Darwin's Danger Shield - Since this is an obvious Razorback replacement, I imagine the tough scaly crocodile skin would be a little more sturdy than the flimsy piece of wood, so maybe it actually protects against backstabs entirely (doesn't break), but there's no car battery attached to it so the Spy doesn't get shocked, and the Spy can continue to attack like normal with his knife, perhaps even killing the Sniper with regular old melee damage.
What do you guys think? Any guesses as to what the items may do? Come on, join me in the speculating game. :D

Your Eternal Reward (Spy Knife) - Backstabs are not instant kill and instead do triple normal knife damage on a backstab (much like normal crits). If you manage to kill an enemy with a backstab, you instantly disguise as them. Maybe have a slower stabbing rate to keep the player from just stabbing the same guy twice in quick succession.
Powerjack (Pyro Hammer) - Slower swing speed, but causes an acid burning effect that also stacks with afterburn (and possibly bleeding). It IS a leaky car battery attached to a car jack. Either that, or more damage.
Battalion's Backup (Soldier Backpack) - When the Soldier's Rage meter is full, he can play his little trumpet and all allies in a certain radius get increased movement speed for around 10 seconds.

Re: The Polycount Contest - Your Favorites
Some various ideas for the Black Box that I read on the Steampowered Forums (wait, don't stop reading yet!), some of which are pretty neat.
- The missile fired from the launcher is guided, much like the RPG launchers from the Half-Life games.
- The missile fired from the launcher can be charged, much like the Demoman's Sticky Bomb Launcher. The longer you charge the shot, the faster and more damaging the missile is.
- The wielder must be stationary to fire the launcher, but it does more damage and has a bigger explosion radius.
