http://educations.newegg.com/tool/psucalc/index.html

I have:

I7 1156
Regular board
HD 5770
2x2gb DDR3 ram
2x 7200 RPM hard drives
DVD-RW

Recommended: 438w

Account for a couple other things in there and I have a 700watt PSU for extra hard drives later on.
I could probably get by with a 600w easily.

Well I use a Corsair 1000W because my system draws ~800+ at full load.

I have one too. I prefer cooking potatoes in it.

I don't think snafu is an adjective.

Hey now, I think it fits quite nicely. Everything looks fine, but most certainly isn't!

aww sad. ya i tried my hand at liquid cooling too. turns out when they say that a pump is rated to a certain ammount of feet, its not ok to pump twice that length with 3 waterblocks. I learned this the hard way. luckily my ATI 4850X2 overheated and died before anything else could. (and luckily i only paid about 1/4 of the retail cost for it). liquid cooling is great but there is alot of room for error. good luck on your new computer/trying to fix this one lol.

I don't pay attention but all I know that the processor is being dumb. There could be more components fighting for power, as well. *shrugs*
