I need to backup some dvd movies apparently. What free or cheap software or combination of tools do you suggest?

I haven't done this in a while. But I used dvd shrink to great effect.

Mortis put up a pretty good post a while back, but the cliffs notes are... I can't remember where his post is though. :shock:

DVDFab to rip it
Handbrake to stuff it down into an MP4

I fully support the Handbrake method.
Friends made are never forgotten. Even if we grow apart or move on from this life, the fun times we spent together was all worth it.
