Windows 7 Student offer

Post by Shifty » Mon Feb 22, 2010 9:31 pm

My beta copy of 7 Ultimate is coming to an end in about a week and I need to get myself a new copy of Windows 7.

Unfortunately, I foolishly failed to act on the Canadian deal for Windows 7 at a reduced price for students (ended on January 3rd, and I only picked up a single copy at the time thinking the beta version lasted longer).

I was wondering if there were any kind souls, enrolled in a university in the United States, who do not wish to purchase W7 anytime soon and would "lend" me their email address so I can purchase another copy. All I need is a valid email address to send the product key to, I will pay for everything.

Being completely broke right now, and a laptop thats about to start turning off in 2 hour intervals, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. :)

I think it ended in the US too.

I think I have an extra copy of the Windows 7 Ultimate upgrade from Vista Ultimate. I have the disc and CD Key somewhere, but I have no idea where... :? I'll let you know if I find it though.

I don't think so. You can still get to the page to enter your email address.

Not as cheap as before ($64.95 now, was $29.95 with the original promotion), but still cheaper than OEM:

most universities have a thing where you can purchase software through the university website or something. i ordered one thru the Microsoft deal thing which is over and i ordered one from the school purchase thing. go to the school store or the computer department and ask about it.
