I love beer... ive been in the beer busisness for 12 + years... I install and maintain Draft beer systems in the Seattle area.
I have loved lots of beers but my favorites are:
Blue Moon
Coors Light
Sol
Guinness
the picture is of me in the gravity bar ontop of the brewery:
Image
and my favorite of them all
Hoegaarden...

I loved this beer soo much I bugged my suppliers to sponcer my personal car to make a vintage looking race car. I designed the car after all the old BMW e30 ///m3 race cars of the past... I drove this car around for about 2 years... hoegaarden paid for all the decals, bought me the carbon fiber spoiler! I would take it to local bars for "promos" I would eat and drink and they would pay me back... our company doesnt sell the beer anymore so I removed the stickers..
here are a few pictures of my car:

I was so into the beer and my car I created custom nike's to wear to car shows etc..

My friend Made a skin of my car for the game RACE07 for the PC:

also here is a small dyno video of my little car...

You should definitely mentor me in the local beer scene, as I'm also a Seattleite who loves beer who just turned 21! That sounds like a really interesting job.

Yeah, you also need to tell me where to find Hoegaarden in Seattle, chaffe, because I didn't see it at whole foods, but I could have just missed it.

In other news, New Belgium Abbey is delicious. Truly, truly good.

Hoegaarden is good. That sounds like an awesome job and this is the most enthusiastic reply in this thread. Your car screams dedication to your favorite beer, it's a shame you had to remove the decals.

Yeah good call, they have a great beer & wine selection.

You should just get a ticket, they're still available. After the game a smaller group from the band goes through the E-1 lot and plays for beer! I play sousaphone, if you see us you should say hi (real name is rob).

Oh, how I like this topic! I see some good ones.
What is my favorite beer? I can't say that I have a favorite. There is a time, a place, a season and a mood for every beer!
Overall though, any beer that I brew happens to be one of my favorites! :drinking:
where do you pick up your supplies? I got my brother a mr. beer kit last year for christmas which he enjoyed and he may be getting a little more into home brewing.
Just search for the closest Home Brewing shop, they should have everything you would need. I know of some good ones out here in California if you are interested. As far as brewing equipement goes, you can keep it simple or build up to more complex brewing systems. There are also some wonderful books out there to read if you want to get more into it.
If you have any questions about brewing, just ask. I was a professional brewer for many years and always happy to help! Brewing at home is a great hobby and that's how I started my professional career (many years ago).

Speaking of beer-I think it's time for one!

I'll undoubtably get my dad's opinion too on this since he was a bartender, but what would be a good beer to start with...a "real" beer?
