Well looks like no one will be idling program anymore, now they'll have to use old fashion idling servers
What do you want to bet Valve will delist them and prevent them from communicating to the Steam servers?
EDIT: I just realized that will mean the hardcore idlers will flood regular servers.

Then people will make a different map?
Then people will idle in stock maps?
This could go on forever.

Not a problem if the server admins are on the ball.

Well, im a bit salty at valve on this one. Not for the 3rd party thing, I knew it would happen. More so on the hat system. Why reward people that have more time to play this game, and cram it down the faces of people that have a real job, and very little time for video games? I payed the same for this game as you gusy that can play at least 4 hours a day.
Again, not insulting, just pissed at this system. Methinks its time to quit gaming again.

They also said in the blog update they're increasing the drop rate of all hats significantly.

Too bad about the increase in drop rates, everything else comes without any skill or commitment, at least the hats were fun to see.
I do not care particularly what I get, I think it is just fun to see some of the other people have something unique.
Long live the mediocre masses!

The halo glows in the dark. Sniper heaven on dark maps.

Also it looks like the halo does not disappear on a cloaked spy - at least that's what I was just seeing on dustbowl.

Assuming you mean disguised instead of cloaked, yes. Disguising removes any hat from a Spy.
