Hm. I was fairly put off by the youtube trailer - it really made it look mediocre. I may have to reconsider...

Slip had quite the interest in it when we saw the trailer a while ago on TV. We may have to go see it sometime.

Let's just say the alien weapon designers played a lot of half-life and unreal tournament. Very juicy kills. The ending was pretty anti-climatic but I guess that might be the setup to a sequel. I love how the main character tries to treat his situation like he's actually in some bad sci-fi flick where the plot to the solutions are always spelled out ("we gotta do this, to make that, to get the other thing, to save the day.") and the realities just keep messing up his plans. Hero dufus, it kinda works.

It really does. I saw a lot of Half-Life-ish things in there, even a part where he sucks something up and then spits it back out (without going into too much detail) like the grav-gun.
The hero was believable, he wasn't strong, smart, charming, or even at some points like-able....

Overall though, GO SEE IT.

Saw it this afternoon. It was pretty good, worth seeing for sure. I thought it kinda turned into a video game about 2/3 of the way through. . . which was disappointing since it started off fairly nuanced. Definitely a lot of Half-Life influence on this movie!

Ever since I saw the trailer I've wanted to see it. Looked like a bit of a different take on the alien sci-fi type of movie. Will try to see it soon.

Thought it was pretty cool. Not sure there will be a number two but its a cool movie. I thought it was going to be like Alien Nation but it wasnt which is good.

I really enjoyed the movie. It's up there with my all time favorite Science Fiction movies.
