GIMP is a free picture editing program. http://www.gimp.org/
I know there are other free programs for image editing, search around and you'll probably find something.

For mine I just took a screenshot I liked, shrunk it in paint and put some text on it. I should probably mess around with photoshop someday.

I use to be a Really good Photo Shopper but then I switched to PC and I have not be able to afford the PC version of Photo shop.
