Does anyone understand why the global rankings differ so much from The Ville rankings?

well first of all it doesnt seem to have very much data

i know i have more than 22 hours played haha

Probably because ville rankings are only including people on the ville and that's people on all HLstats servesrs.

Personally I never trusted those stats as they are a terrible representation of skill.

Well, the global ranking is more killratio-centric, so medics don't get a lot of points.
While for spies, it really depends on how many people you stab before you get killed.

It would probably be more accurate if they have ranks according to class type.

Forgot to mention that the stats are collected only from servers that have global ranking tracker installed.
TheVille probably doesn't have it so we have so little play time recorded.

So Soltan has only played 5 hours on a server that has a global ranking tracker but Wang has played 92 hours? That doesn't make sense because those guys mostly play on the same server.

I think you are thinking of the dustbowl server for theville?
I was referring to other servers not owned by theville.

When you enter servers with global ranking stats, you should see a message that says "server tracked by hlstatsx" or something similar to that.
At least that's my understanding.

Our stats DO get sent to HLStatsX but because we have changed the way our stats work (i.e. not default) they do not get added to the global ranking.

And if you ask why we changed our stats, then scan back a year or two ago, and read the huge argument about how the stats needed to work.
