Videos - iTouch

Got my daughter the iTouch for Christmas and I'm having a tough time installing vids on there for her.

I have a ton of music videos I've downloaded over the years and all are currently in wmv format. iTunes will not upload them, I believe I have to convert them to MP4?

Anyone know of a good, possibly free converter?
I have a butt and you do too. Let's be friends.
