Carpe, if you want some melee fun, I highly recommend whacking the infected with a propane tank. It has quite a bit of oomph behind it and when you're done, you can just drop it, shoot it and giggle like a little girl when it 'splodes everyone.

I'm more partial to the gas cans, but the principle's the same. The important thing is setting the Infected on fire.

The gas cans are nice as well but they only produce that plastic *thud* feel when you thwack an infected. With propane bottles you get a very satisfying *ping* feel and you can take great joy in knowing that it probably knocked some teeth out.
