Monthly Stats resets?

I think this would make for an interesting change of pace. It would reflect current playing stats more accurately and would give newer/less active players a better chance at improving their spot.

Right now it seems like there's no way to move up in the ranks because the established player base is so far ahead of new players that it makes catching up impossible.

You'll find though, that most people around the Ville don't care much for the stats!

Besides, every time you kill someone ahead of you, you get 25pts so very shortly you propel through the ranks.
Also time played has a factor, too.

Protip: HLXstats aren't necessarily an accurate reflection of a player's skill...

I wish that Hlstats wouldn't remove stuff every three weeks. Makes me wonder how many times I've used a certain weapon over the year. Otherwise, I don't care much for the HLstats point system. I always disable the messages when I log in anyway.

I wouldn't mind quarterly resests but monthly seems very excessive. I agree with abiscuit, I'd love to see longer term records of weapon usage, but really the stats are just a fun thing to look at for me.

Gather round...there once was a time when ol' Yev used to be in the top 50 pretty regularly....those were the good ol' days of his Junior year when he could play for hours on end! Oh how wonderful those times have been

I don't care too much about my rank or points, but I do like winning the daily awards and tracking my performance with certain weapons.

That said, I just broke 200 awards

This. Especially for the more casual players, three weeks isn't a decent statistical snapshot. Sometimes I look at my stat page and think I clicked on the wrong name!

I used to care about the stats, it was a nice target to see how fast I could move up the ranks and get to the top. Now that I'm near the top, it's really not that special up here. Every place in the top 10 is seperated by about 20,000 points, so any more movement is probably impossible.

I kind of like that stats are yearly though, if it goes beyond a year I'd say thats getting to be too long. I enjoy checking the weapon statistics (specially the Bottle and Machete) but like everything else, it all depends on focus [on that weapon] and play time.
