ping
I am having very high ping any server I go,does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can fix this problem.I haven't done any thing to my connection at all.And it has seem to get worse over the last week my nieghbor plays the same places and has much lower ping than I do while playing at the same time.Thanks for any response.

try power cycling your router, restarting it. It may be that simple. Otherwise, wait for Dog to answer, Im sure he has a nifty solution.

power cycle both your router and your cable/dsl/whatever modem. If that don't fix it, I don't know what to do. Make sure no one else on your LAN is using lots of bandwidth, I guess. If my roommate is downloading something sometimes my ping goes up.

Could someone explain what "power cycling" is? 
If you have a wireless router, I would also suggest to see if anyone is stealing your connection. I don't know how to do this though. I don't have a wireless.

switch it off then wait 20 seconds, then switch it on again.
