Every once in a while I have a movement issue in TF2 where I can't control where I'm going and I slide all over the place. Sometimes it will stop when I die (usually killed because I can't control where I'm going) and sometimes I have to quit and restart the map.
Just curious if anyone else has experienced this and what may be the cause? Random bug?

what kind of Key board??
Wired or wireless?
USB or PS2?
If wireless that is your problem get a PS2 key board.
if USB key board get a PS2 key board
Check that your key board Drivers are up to date or could be your key board may need a new one
lastly are you being pushed around by a Medic or by Dog who is admin haxing on you? LOL
Check these out and let us know

Re: Keyboard movement issue in TF2
This sounds more like a network communication issue.
You can trace your network communication with the net_graph.
If you still have the same issues and the net_graph behaves usual you most likely have an issue with your box.

I have A Logitech Classic 200 USB keyboard running on Vista 64 that uses a standard driver.
So a PS2 connection is better than a USB connection for gaming?
Could it be that there is a periodic problem with this key board? Although this is the only issue I've had with it, so I doubt it.
My network (DSL) connection seems to be stable. Everything else in the game works normally-it's just my movement with the key board.
Maybe I could switch USB plugs to see if that does anything and/or move it to the PS2?

PS/2 is better than USB? Whaaaaat? Mabye when USB first came out there were problems with compatibility, but that was like 12 years ago. PS/2 is pretty much obsolete now (it was made in 1987). In fact, i've seen newer motherboards made without any PS/2 connectors at all, just USB.
Anyways, onto your issue, try plugging another keyboard in and seeing if the same problem occurs.
