and yes, they definitely(SPOILER:dont read on if you havent seen it)left it wide open for a second one...not only did Prime openly invite the rest of the autobots to earth, but they show starscream leaving at the end. i dont wanna wait until 2009!! 
as for 1-18-08(aka "Cloverfield"?), that trailer was just plain insane! great marketing too, because i know i sure as heck wanna see more. its an interesting assortment of writers & producers...i managed to get a still shot of the credits from one of those links posted.
