Re: Dragon Raid!
Alright folks - it was talked over in the admin lounge, and looks like I've been handed the reins for this party.
Based on the results of Jonathin's polls, Wednesday the 29th will be our day.
The time poll is much more spread out, but based on a mix of that and best-case scheduling with many past events, we're going to go with 9 pm Eastern as the start time for the raid. This is late enough for most of our west-coasters to get home from work/school etc, and early enough the east-coasters aren't suffering because of work/school the next morning. This is the time the raid starts - not the time to start signing in. Please be online and on location at 9 - if this means logging off there your previous play session, do so. 9:00 Eastern is 8:00 Central, 7:00 Mountain, and 6:00 Pacific.
We'll be using TeamSpeak to coordinate movement and attacking. Even if you don't have a mic or don't wish to use one, please log in to TeamSpeak and join the Minecraft channel.
If everybody is online and in position at 9:00, this won't take long. We'll be in, out, and done in 15 minutes, and people can get back to dinner, families, sleep, or other gaming as they please.
Quandary - thank you for the equipment provisioning. Much obliged, it will help a lot.
Jonathin - I'll have you carrying some of the raid leader equipment in case I get killed, and will put you on the initial entry squad as experience for future raids.

Re: Dragon Raid!
Is team killing allowed and if so are we allowed to take a freshly created character to kill potato over and over again instead of the dragon?
Re: Dragon Raid!
I second this motion. Kill the potato, the dragon didn't do anything wrong!LonelyTentacle wrote:Is team killing allowed and if so are we allowed to take a freshly created character to kill potato over and over again instead of the dragon?

That event happens on a different server, on a different night. I also think that there are prizes involved for who bashes the tater-pinata the most, but having never participated in said event, I couldn't say.

Re: Dragon Raid!
If you are attending the Dragon Raid tonight, please be in town square at 9 PM (Eastern) sharp!
Alizée Fan will lead us out of town square at 9 PM for our trip to The End. It is much better to be online and in TeamSpeak early instead of waiting until the last minute. Last time several folks missed all the action because they were running late.

Re: Dragon Raid!
Thanks for coming out, all! Folks were on time and as expected, we wrapped up in less than 15 minutes. The End is now open for business

Re: Dragon Raid!
I don't think I hit either the dragon or a crystal at all. Still, was very fun. Thanks all!
