Possible, yes, probable, no.

Ellis cap isn't worth anything really, keys are pretty pricey, like 2 refined + a reclaimed in trade, or a strange weapon.

Sorry to say it, but no. You most likely won't get a key for it. Ellis' Caps are probably one of the lowest-valued hats in the game, along with the Alien Swarm Parasite. As has been said, a key is currently valued at 2 Refined and 1 Reclaimed on the trade market, and you might get 1 Reclaimed for that hat if you're lucky.
