Minecraft Is Coming To Xbox 360!

In a brief statement made by Phil Spencer, during the Xbox Kinect press conference at E3 it was announced that Minecraft will be launching exclusively on Xbox Kinect this winter.

The game, based on the images shown at the press conference, retains its classic graphics style. One huge reveal for the console port, however, is that it's coming complete with Kinect functionality.

This looks to be a big week for Minecraft, as the mobile version will be demoed on the Xperia Play during the E3 Expo as well.

Notch confirms separate team is working on the Minecraft for XBOX Live Arcade. More details to follow later.

Yeah, as inaccurate as these motion sensing peripherals can be at times, misplaced blocks would be quite common place. One wrongly placed block of obsidian and you won't be able to lift your arm for a week!

Oh god. You just gave me a hilarious Idea. Take your current building/fortification/creeper shelter and put some blocks hanging off it.

I cannot imagine Minecraft being enjoyable with the kinect. It would be incredibly tedious. Also, Frau you may want to seperate your pig and creeper just a little bit on your banner. I think the pig may be a little uncomfortable....

It's not going to be a direct port. I'm sure that they're intelligent enough to realize swinging your arm for 30 minutes straight isn't fun.

So... What divices will the mobile version be able to run on?

Also, wouldn't it be awesome if you could work on multiplayer over a mobile divice? It would be great when I'm away from home and just wanna work on a few things.
