while exploring the spaghetti monster cavern I've found quite a bit of lava... who was that again that said they needed tons of it?

Managed to work a little more on the monument.

That would be the Blaze and Gonzo diamond of hyoog in need of mass quantities of lava!

Excavation of bottom half of main Diamond - All material must go!

Sooooooo much mining left to do. . . .

Once complete, the very bottom diamond block will be approximately 7-10 blocks up from bedrock, making the bottom half the exact same size as the top down to the last block. Then all the material (about 10 blocks out) AROUND the main diamond will be excavated down to bedrock leaving the main diamond floating in air.

If I have time to finish my mob spawner(seriously not likely) then I will start gathering lots of sand for TNT and starting on another super mega cavern thing. You can help me then.
