I like flashes idea of using nether bricks for the nethergate house at spawn.

I'm gonna get started on this in a little bit since I haven't been able to build a town building yet.

are you going to mimic the style of a nether stronghold as well? because those netherbrick fence windows would be cool

will netherwart grow in the overworld? if so i'd say making the entrance staircase similar to a nethe one with the wart on the sides at the bottom

OK, so I got kinda bored/inspired and created a map of town. There are still a few vacant lots if anyone can think of a community building we are missing.

Some time soon I plan to work over the inside of the armory so it actually has weapons and armor vs just arrows

Also, i need to create a Misc House for all the stuff that doesnt seem to have a proper home. Things like Saddles, Slimeballs, gunpower/TNT, Leather (could go to armory), feathers, string(I put it in the wool house for now), and other little bits that I cant seem to find a good spot for.

Ah good thinking. That would provide storage for gunpowder and TNT. However something that big (assuming it is the same as before) won't fit on the square. Maybe east of 24, or down between 26/27?

Thoughts from anyone else?

Saddles - Located at the ranch (We need a barn there!)
Slimeballs - Perhaps the slime spawner location is best?
Gunpower/TNT - Blasting service would be great!
Leather - Located at the ranch, could go to armory
Feathers - Best suited for armory (arrow makings)
String - Use for it all over from tool shed (fishing rods) to armory (bows) to Wool Pool (wool)

A Barn is a great idea, there is plenty of space where the chests already are combined with south of 16 Garden & Dye.

Agree on the slimeballs or maybe just in the Radio Shack. Sticky Pistons are still the only use for them right?
