Feed the Beast

Thought it might be a cool thing to upgrade the tekkit server to Feed the Beast. It uses a launcher, has a ton more cool mods on it, and some types are able to work with tekkit maps. It might get more people interested on the server again.

I would love to see this, the new biomes and such that are included in the mod look interesting. Plus it seems to have a lot of the goodies from Tekkit.

I really want to play some more MineCraft, but I just have a hard time trying to get back in to Vanilla. I loved the Tekkit server, but it does suffer a bit becoming pointless once you have massive amounts of EMC built up and the challenge is gone.

If we were to make tekkit a FTB server, which version would we use (Ultimate lags the heck out of my computer, and that's just SSP).

I run a FTB Direwolf20 server with the transformer mod added (that mod makes the already existing electrical engines have an adjustable speed setting) and I would be VERY interested in playing on a ville server running that same setup. I am having a blast with it, and I've found direwolf to run smoothly on my setup and still have all the cool stuff we love about tekkit and FTB. I would be more than willing to help get that project up and running
