How to build and not impede

I had thought that someone was coming through and cutting trees at random, then I realized some were cut higher up and no one would waste time cutting one block from way up high and then move on. Probably an enderman.

I've noticed a lot of partially cut trees near spawn.

Endermen.

Which, fortunately, Notch has admitted was a bad idea and will be removing Endermen's ability to pick up blocks.

they still can pick up blocks they are just being nerfed
