G15 tip
I was fine last night, then I got up to do some stuff this morning, and bang, no return key.
The return key associated with my numpad was fine, so i assumed some kind of hardware failure and was thinking of disassembling to get a look.
Some Googling revealed that it might be the driver, of all things. I went to the Logitech site, downloaded the 2.02 driver and now the key works again.
Since I have been using the keyboard on this machine for months and in fact moved things around about a week ago, I have no idea what happened. Point is, how screwy is that, that it was the driver??

Re: G15 tip
I was a loyal Logitech user for years. Most recently, I had a G5 mouse and a G15 keyboard. The mouse was absolute garbage. It has been...eliminated. I still have the G15 keyboard, but have replaced it with a Razor.
I could not get the extra keys on the G15 to work properly. Also, the thing felt like having an ironing board on my desk. The LED screen was little more than useless, IMHO.
I know a lot of people who praise the G15. It did little or nothing for me. As for Logitech driver issues, I tried several times to update my G5 mouse drivers, only to get a message that I did not have a G5 mouse. It was weird.
Logitech has gone downhill. I use Razor products now.

I use the macro keys when ever playing mmo's but thats about it. I do use the LCD screen more than I should though
more so the media control buttons...

I use the macro keys for a lot of the voice commands with macros like when the pyro says 'excellent' or 'gogogo'; stuff like that.
I use one of those n52te things that is like a mini keyboard when playing tf2.. I sometimes go back and forth, though, unsure if I should be using the full keyboard
I recently changed it so I can move using the thumbstick on the n52te. My scores went up a lot, then dropped again. Must have just gotten some lucky good games

In regards to the LCD on the G15, I've been using SirReal's plugin. its quite slick. Here's a link, if anyone else would like to check it out

I used that plug in for a bit but it does a couple weird things, like reporting proggies as 'rip' when they are just waiting for network traffic to come in.
When I redid my drivers, it disappeared. I probably won't reinstall it. I found it while looking for something specific for tf2 on the g15 which is somehow lacking

this happens occasionally for me, all I do is unplug the USB, wait for your computer to make the "device removed" sound, then plug it back in. when you hear the "device added" sound, the enter key should be fine.
I love the G15, I just wish it wasn't so long.
MasterChief";p="101741"]I love my g-15. It types really nice, and I like the light up keys. But I honestly don't use the macro keys. I mostly use the display for a clock. Sometimes I'll use it to display who is talking in ventrillo.
I feel exactly the same way. When I first purchased it, I thought I was going to use every feature! But turns out it was just an overpriced clock and media keyboard. I vary rarely use the macro keys...most of the time I forget I have them. But, just like MasterChief I enjoy typing on it, and really enjoy the lighted keys.

I love my G5 mouse. It makes me happy in many ways! It's the first mouse I've had in years that I haven't smashed in a rage due to some sort of issue.
As for a keyboard, I use an 8 year old stock Dell keyboard, in that ugly beige color, that came with the PC I bought for college in 2008. I've gone through 3 others, and always come back to this one. It's plain, simple, and gets the job done. I dunno why, but I've never found a custom keyboard of any type that really floated my boat. If I went for anything, I'd probably get a backlit keyboard, but only if it was a completely normal, boring keyboard otherwise.
