Sound problem

Post by shimmybot » Thu Jun 19, 2008 12:31 am

So... My speakers have been acting up lately and I dont know why. I cannot find any support for my model of speakers (Altec Lansing FX5051), and I was wondering if anyone may have any ideas...

My problem is this. As of late, my speakers have been randomly cutting out, but staying on when i try adjusting the volume, the lights to signify it don't move. sometimes (but only sometimes), if I unplug and plug it back in, it works. But lately it will just randomly start to work again :S if anyone has any ideas, or can find any support pages or something on it, I'd be a very happy camper lol

I had a set of AL speakers with the same problem. The volume dial had to be just so or the sound had some random quirk (one speaker, very soft, crackly).

Sorry I can't help you, seems like a bad brand to me though.

They've always been fine, but just recently they've started to do that :(

strap an M80 fire cracker to each and light it...

best way to fix anything.
