WD released their WD20EADS 2TB drive this week.

It's available on newegg right now, but it is still pricey.

I just bought a Seagate 1.5T drive from bestbuy for $175, unreal.

i got seagate 1.5 for 250


friggin hardware is expensive over here


and its good to know they are striving for more...

by then end of the year, TB will be standard for al new PC's and there will be 10TB HDD available.

7200.11? they have been failing at an alarming rate. they brick themselves due to bad firmware. hopefully you got a newly manufactured one if so.

And on just 4 platters, too! Many of the previous 1TB and 1.5TB drives are 5 platter, especially the early models of those capacities, adding just that much more risk to them. I prefer fewer platters, but 4 will do when you've got this kind of capacity! Heck, if the speed is honestly comparable with a 7200 as well (always a question with the Caviar Greens), then woah.
