AMD's graphic division is going to be releasing the 47xx series soon.

OK guys. This is a semi-final revision, as I will be purchasing it within the next few weeks. As you know, this will be a medium load gaming computer. However, I will be doing video's and other things parents do on it. So, while I will game on it, I am not worried about having the fastest thing on the block. Here are my new components (thanks for the ATI reference Clay).

As long as your video card selection is back in stock when you're ready to order, looks like a respectable combo to me. As Jesus said above, you can find less expensive RAM that's just as good if you can time it to pick up an MIR. Keep checking Newegg's Daily Deals listings - there is inevitably RAM in it, and DDR2 1066 is popular enough to frequently dance across the deals pages. I use Corsair or Kingston myself, but I know OCZ has quickly made a name for itself as quality RAM as well.

It'll be out of stock for a while and will sell out instantly. TSMC (the company that Nvidia and ATi outsource their GPU core making to) is having major issues with their 40nm process (the 4770 is currently the only card made on one) so expect really low amounts of stock.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814102824 is currently on sale and in stock for 10 dollars more. It also has a MIR which will bump its price down.

Or you could wait for a 4770, which is an excellent card.
